[SG/MY] How to Get Started with Qashier: Sign Up, Verify Your Business, Order a Terminal and Link Your Bank Account

Create your Qashier account in QashierHQ, verify your business with Singpass or documents, order a QashierXS or Soundbox, and link the bank account that receives your payouts.

Summary: New merchants in Singapore and Malaysia set Qashier up themselves in QashierHQ: create an account, verify your business (with Singpass or by uploading documents), order a payment terminal and link the bank account that receives your payouts. This article walks through each step in order.

Applies to: Singapore and Malaysia · QashierHQ (web) · the business owner or a director. Thailand and Philippines: the same sign-up form records an enquiry and our team contacts you to complete the setup; you cannot order a terminal online yet.

Before you start

  • Your registered business name and the country your business is in.

  • A mobile number that can receive a one-time code by WhatsApp or SMS. This number becomes your login.

  • A work email address.

  • For verification: Singapore, either Singpass or your ACRA Business Profile plus the NRIC (front and back) of a director or shareholder. Malaysia, your business incorporation document plus a director's ID or passport (front and back).

  • For payouts: your business bank account details and a copy or screenshot of a bank statement.

Step 1: Create your account

  1. Go to hq.qashier.com/startup.

  2. Under Business sector, choose F&B, Retail, Beauty & Wellness or Others.

  3. Enter your Registered business name and pick your country under Where are you located?

  4. Under Create your account, enter Your name and Mobile number, then tap Send OTP via WhatsApp (or Send via SMS).

  5. Type the code under Enter the 6-digit code and tap Continue.

  6. Enter your Work email and tap Continue.

Singapore and Malaysia: your account is created and QashierHQ opens on the Pricing section of your onboarding pages. Open Overview in the left menu to see Your activation path: Account created (already done), then Verify your business, Order your terminals, Setup online payments and Add bank account. The later steps unlock once you have submitted your verification.

Thailand and Philippines: you see Enquiry received. Our team contacts you to complete the setup. You can stop here.

Step 2: Verify your business

Business verification (KYC) is a regulatory requirement before you can accept payments. On the Overview page, under Verify your business, tap Verify Now.

Singapore, with Singpass (fastest):

  1. Tap Verify with Singpass. You are redirected to Singpass.

  2. Log in with Singpass and approve the request. Your business registration number, director or shareholder identity, and entity type and status are filled in automatically. There is nothing to upload.

Singapore without Singpass, or Malaysia:

  1. Under Upload manually, upload your ACRA Business Profile (Singapore) or Business Incorporation Document (Malaysia) as a PDF or image, 5 MB max.

  2. Upload the director's ID: NRIC — front and NRIC — back (Singapore), or Director ID / Passport — front and Director ID / Passport — back (Malaysia).

  3. Tap Submit for review.

The panel then shows Documents received, and Business verified once you are approved. We notify you when that happens. While your documents are reviewed you can order a terminal and add your bank account; payments, including payment links, go live automatically once you are verified.

Step 3: Order a terminal

  1. On the Overview page, under Order your terminals, tap Order Now (or Browse terminals). You can also open Terminals in the left menu.

  2. On Pick your terminal, add the device you want. The online store carries the QashierXS (handheld, prints receipts, takes cards and QR) and the Qashier Soundbox (QR payments with audio confirmation).

  3. Tap View cart, check the order and complete the checkout.

You can order as soon as you have submitted your verification; you do not have to wait for approval. Once you are verified, the terminal is configured to your account and shipped; when it arrives, power it on, connect it to Wi-Fi or a SIM card and start selling. If you do not need a device, tap I do not need a physical terminal.

Step 4: Set up online payments (optional)

This step opens once you have ordered a terminal or chosen I do not need a physical terminal. Under Setup online payments, tap Explore Payment Links or Setup WooCommerce / API, or tap Skip for now. Payment links let you get paid through WhatsApp, email or SMS without a terminal; you can send them once your business is verified. See Pay by Link: What It Is and How to Activate It in QashierHQ.

Step 5: Link your bank account

  1. Tap Add bank account. The Link your payout account panel opens.

  2. Enter your bank, account number and account holder name, and upload your bank statement.

  3. Tap Save bank details. You see Bank account linked with the bank name, the last digits of the account and the holder name.

What you should see

Each finished step is marked done on Your activation path. After approval, Verify your business shows Business verified and your payments go live automatically; there is nothing else to switch on. When your terminal arrives, turn it on and log in with your Qashier account; see How to Log in to Qashier POS.

Delivery delay on WhatsApp or SMS

Wait about a minute and send again, or switch channel with Send via SMS / Send via WhatsApp.

Singpass times out or fails

Connection timeout on the Singpass side; this is common

"That email is already linked to another account"

The email is already on a Qashier account

Use a different email, or log in to the existing account.

"Terminal ordering isn't available in your region yet"

Your business address could not be matched to a supported country

Verification needs another look

A document was unclear, cut off or did not match

Open Verify your business again and upload a clear, complete copy of each document.
