How to Add a Category or Product to Your GrabFood Menu in QashierHQ

Add a new category or a new product to the GrabFood menu that Qashier manages for your store. QashierHQ sends the updated menu to GrabFood for you.

Applies to: Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand · QashierHQ · stores with the GrabFood integration activated.

Before you start

  • The GrabFood integration must be activated for the store. If the GrabFood page shows an activation screen instead of a menu, contact Qashier via live chat.

  • To add a product, you need at least one category. Create the category first.

  • Products should belong to a menu (service hours). To create menus, see How to Set Up GrabFood Menus and Service Hours in QashierHQ.

Open the GrabFood page

  1. Log in to QashierHQ.

  2. In the sidebar, under Sales Channels, click GrabFood.

  3. Choose your store in the store picker at the top of the page.

Add a category

  1. Click Edit Category.

  2. Click New Category.

  3. Enter a Category Name.

  4. Check the Display Order. It is pre-filled with the next number; categories with a smaller number appear first on GrabFood.

  5. Click Confirm.

  6. Click X to close the Edit Category window.

Add a product

  1. In the Menu drop-down at the top of the page, choose the menu the product should belong to. If the drop-down is on All or Unassigned, the product is created without a menu.

  2. Click the category tab the product belongs to.

  3. Click the + tile. The New Product window opens.

  4. Enter the Product Name and the Price (Excluding Tax). Both are required.

  5. Select a Printer Index and/or KDS Index so GrabFood orders for this product print or show in the kitchen.

  6. Optional: fill in Order Chit Product Name, Product Description, Display Order and Modifiers. Malaysia only: tick Without SST if the item is not taxable.

  7. To add or change menus, click Menu(s), tick the menus in the Assign Menu window and click Confirm.

  8. Click Save.

  9. If a Confirm prompt says you have not selected a printer or KDS, click OK to save without printing order chits, or Cancel to go back and choose one.

GrabFood allows up to 300 products per category. Set the Menu drop-down to All to see every product in a category.

What you should see

The new category or product appears on the GrabFood page in QashierHQ. When you close the window, QashierHQ sends the menu to GrabFood. Refresh the page (Ctrl+R on Windows, Cmd+R on Mac) and check that Last Synced at the top of the page shows the current date and time.

If something goes wrong

No category exists or none is selected.

Create a category, then click its tab.

Message Too Many Products

The category already has 300 products.

Add the product to another category.

Product is not shown on GrabFood

The product has no menu, or its menu has no hours for today.

Open the product, click Menu(s) and assign a menu. Check the menu's hours under Edit Menu.

Last Synced does not update

The change has not reached GrabFood yet.

Wait a few minutes and refresh. If it still does not update, contact support.
