Summary: Assign an ingredient to a product with a deduct ratio, and Qashier POS deducts that ingredient from stock automatically every time the product is sold. This guide shows how to assign an ingredient, change its deduct ratio and remove it, on the POS.

Before you start
Ingredient Management must be turned on for your store. The Ingredients button only appears when it is on. Turn it on in QashierHQ (see How to Add Features and Manage Your Plan in Qashier Marketplace (QashierHQ)) or contact support.

How the deduct ratio works
The deduct ratio is how much of the ingredient, in the ingredient's own unit, one unit of the product uses. Each sale deducts item quantity × deduct ratio from the ingredient's stock. The ratio must be more than 0.
Example: Sugar is set up in grams and a Latte uses 15. Selling 2 Lattes deducts 30 g of Sugar.
Assign an ingredient to a product
Open the POS menu and tap Inventory Management.
Tap the Ingredients button in the row below the Inventory Management title.
Tap Assign at the top left.
Tap the product you want to assign an ingredient to.
Tap Assign Ingredient.
Tap the ingredient.
In the Add assigned ingredient pop-up, enter the deduct ratio and tap OK.
The POS shows Assign successful, and the ingredient appears in the product's ingredient list with its ratio and unit. Repeat steps 5 to 7 for each ingredient the product uses.

Change the deduct ratio of an assigned ingredient
Do not use Assign Ingredient to change a ratio. It adds the same ingredient a second time, and every sale then deducts it twice. Tap the ingredient that is already assigned instead.
Open the POS menu and tap Inventory Management.
Tap Ingredients.
Tap Assign at the top left.
Tap the product.
In the product's list of assigned ingredients, tap the ingredient you want to change.
In the Edit assigned ingredient pop-up, enter the new deduct ratio and tap OK.
The POS shows Update Successful, and the list shows the new ratio.
Remove an ingredient from a product
Open the POS menu and tap Inventory Management.
Tap Ingredients.
Tap Assign at the top left.
Tap the product.
In the product's list of assigned ingredients, tap the ingredient you want to remove.
In the Edit assigned ingredient pop-up, tap Delete.
The ingredient is removed from that product only. The ingredient itself and its stock stay in your ingredient list.

What you should see
Under Assign, each product lists its assigned ingredients with the deduct ratio and unit.

If something goes wrong
