Introduction

PayTreats are exclusively available to merchants leveraging on QashierPay services.

Note: PayTreats works with Payment Linked Loyalty, and is currently available to merchants in Singapore and Malaysia only. For more information on Payment Linked Loyalty, please refer to this article.


How to use

Earning points

Step 1: Go to "POS & Payment" > input the total amount on the screen.

Step 2: Select the customer's preferred payment method (e.g. Visa/Mastercard), then get the customer to make payment by tapping/swiping their card on the QashierPay terminal.

Step 3: Once the payment is successfully made, the Treats QR code to earn points will be displayed on both the QashierPay terminal as well as the printed receipt. The customer may scan the QR code to earn the points.

Tip: If the customer is new to Treats, they will be prompted to sign up via the Treats webapp upon scanning the QR code.

Redeeming points

When a customer has earned enough points and requests to redeem his/her points for a discount, the following steps outline how to go about redeeming points.

Step 1: Go to POS & Payment > Select "+ Customer" on the top right corner of the screen.

Step 2: Search for the customer's details via phone number or name. Once the customer's details are displayed, click "Redeem" to redeem points.

Note:

  • If the customer does not exist in the merchant's CRM, the merchant can register the customer at this step.

  • However, registering the customer here on the QashierPay terminal does not mean that the customer is automatically enrolled in the Treats webapp. The customer will still be required to scan the QR code to sign up via the Treats webapp to earn the points.

Step 3: Input the number of points to be redeemed, then select "Confirm" to proceed with the transaction.

Important: The cashier should check with the customer on the number of points to be redeemed, since the QashierPay terminal is not synced with the merchant's POS terminal.

  • For example, the merchant can let the customer know that 1 point is equivalent to RM0.50. If they redeem 100 points, it means that they will be redeeming RM5.00 worth of points.

  • Only proceed with the transaction after both parties have agreed on the number of points to be redeemed for the transaction.

Step 4: The screen on the QashierPay terminal would inform the merchant the amount of dollar discount that they should input into their POS terminal based on the number of points redeemed (e.g. RM5.00). The merchant should input this amount into their POS terminal, then select "Done!" on the QashierPay terminal.

Step 5: The POS terminal should show the final amount payable after the discount has been applied, and the merchant should input this amount into the QashierPay terminal for the customer to make their payment.

Note: The points will only be deducted after the payment has been successfully made by the customer.

Step 6: Select the customer's preferred payment method (e.g. Visa/Mastercard), then get the customer to make payment by tapping/swiping their card on the QashierPay terminal.

The transaction is now complete. It will show the customer details, the points they have redeemed and the dollar value of the points redeemed.


Viewing transaction details

On QashierPay terminal

Step 1: On the QashierPay terminal, select "Transaction Record" > select a transaction to view its details.

It will show the points rewarded (red box) and points redeemed (orange box) for that transaction.

On QashierHQ portal

Step 1: Go to QashierHQ portal > Select "Transactions" > Select a transaction to view its details.

It will show the dollar value of the points redeemed (orange box) and points awarded (red box) for that transaction.
