How to Set Up Prepaid Credit Packages in Qashier POS

Credit packages are commonly sold to customers in hair and nail salons to pay for services at a discount

Summary: Prepaid credit packages let a customer pay upfront (for example, pay 50 and receive 60 credits) and spend the credits on later visits. This article shows how to create credit packages on Qashier POS.

Applies to: Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand · Qashier POS · Credits are part of the Qashier Loyalty add-on · Terminal PIN, if one is set on your terminal. Amounts are in your store currency (SGD, MYR, PHP or THB).

Before you start

  • Credit must be turned on for your store. In QashierHQ, go to Settings > Additional Settings > Payment Settings and, under Payment Settings (Manual), tick Credit. If you cannot see the option, contact Qashier support.

  • You can also create credit packages from your computer. See How to Create Credit Top-Up Packages in QashierHQ.

  • If the POS shows Please manage products on HQ when you open Manage Products, use the QashierHQ article above instead.

Steps

  1. On the POS home screen, tap ☰ in the top right-hand corner.

  2. Tap Manage Products.

  3. If a terminal PIN is set, enter it and tap OK.

  4. Tap the Edit Tabs icon (the second icon at the top left, next to the search icon).

  5. Under Number of Tabs, add one tab and name it Credit.
    The tab must be named exactly Credit (not "Credits", "Top Up" or a translated word). Otherwise the Credit Topup field will not appear when you add a product.

  6. Tap Confirm. A grey Credit tab is displayed.

  7. Tap the Credit tab.

  8. Tap the + icon in the top right-hand corner.

  9. Select Category.

  10. Enter a category name (for example, Credit Packages). The category name can be anything.

  11. Tap Tab Name and select Credit.

  12. Tap Confirm. Select the new category, then tap Add Product.

  13. Enter a Product Name (for example, 50 Credits).

  14. Enter the Price (for example, 50) and the Credit Topup amount (for example, 60). This means the customer pays 50 and receives 60 credits.

  15. Tap Confirm.

Tip: Want customers to top up any amount? Turn on Allow Open Price for the credit product. At the time of sale you can then enter the price and the Customized Top Up Amount (per item).
