Summary: Give an additional receipt or kitchen printer a fixed IP address over a LAN (Ethernet) cable using the printer's Windows utility, then have the printer added to your Qashier POS. This is for merchants who want a wired printer instead of Wi-Fi.
Applies to: All markets · Qashier POS · a Qashier-supplied receipt/kitchen printer with a LAN port · you need the Terminal PIN on the POS.
Before you start
You need:
A LAN cable
The printer's USB cable
A Windows PC or laptop
A supported additional printer (Qashier printers supplied from Dec 2021 onwards)
The printer utility G80 Utility (v2.32) for Windows. Download it only from this file.
Connect the POS to the same main router that the printer will be cabled to. Load the paper roll and connect the printer to power. Connect the LAN cable directly to the main router, not to a switch or mesh router.
Steps
Step 1: Get the POS IP address. On the POS main screen, tap ☰ at the top right, then Wifi. Tap the gear icon next to the connected network and note the IP address, for example 192.168.0.25.
Step 2: Connect the cables. Connect the printer to the Windows PC with the USB cable. Connect the LAN cable from the printer directly to the main router.
Step 3: Download the utility from the link above onto the Windows PC.
Step 4: Run the .exe file as an administrator.
Step 5: Configure the printer in the utility as shown below. PrintTest With Logo must be set to Print Logo, or the configuration may fail.
Communication interface: select USB. Untick RS232 and Ethernet and leave USB printing device ticked. Click Interfaces Test: a small chit prints.
Click the Parameter Setting tab. Under Operations For All Parameters, click Load. The printer's current settings fill the fields.
Set IP: replace the loaded address with the POS IP address from Step 1, changing the last number to 201 for Printer 1, 202 for Printer 2, 203 for Printer 3, and so on. For example, POS 192.168.0.25 becomes printer 192.168.0.201.
Set gateway: change the last number of the loaded gateway to 1, for example 192.168.0.201 becomes 192.168.0.1. This is your router's address.
Disconnect time: N/A
Connections: 10Clients

Step 6: Save. Click Set. The printer beeps.
Step 7: Restart from the utility. Under Others, select Restart Printer.
Step 8: Power-cycle the printer. Switch it off and on. It prints a small slip that says "Waiting WiFI Setup" with "SSID: disconnected". This is normal for a LAN connection: the SSID only shows when the printer is on Wi-Fi.
Step 9: Add the printer to your POS. The printer's address has to be saved on your POS before you can print to it.
On the POS, tap ☰ > Settings, enter the Terminal PIN and tap Printer Settings.
Tap Add Additional Printer and choose Ethernet/LAN as the Printer Type. The POS shows Contact us for setup assistance.
Tap I WANT TO SET UP A NEW PRINTER. A chat with our team opens. Send them each printer's address, for example "Printer 1 = 192.168.0.201, Printer 2 = 192.168.0.202". Support saves the addresses to your POS.
When support confirms, tap POS & Payment on the home screen to refresh.
If you manage your store in QashierHQ, you can enter the addresses yourself instead: click the gear icon (Settings) > Store > Printer Settings > Additional Printer Settings, pick your store, click ADD ADDITIONAL PRINTER, set Printer Type to Wifi/LAN, enter the Printer IP Address, tick Enable Print via LAN and click Save. Then tap POS & Payment on the POS.
What you should see
On the POS, tap ☰ > Test Print (Additional Printer). A test chit prints on the LAN printer. See How to Do a Test Print on Qashier POS (Built-in and Additional Printers).
Good to know
Each POS supports up to 6 additional printers.
Newer printers (the utility shows the Connections option): up to 10 POS terminals can share one LAN printer. Make sure Connections is set to 10Clients in Step 5.
Older printers (no Connections option): each POS can connect to several printers, but each printer can serve only one POS. For example, POS A can print to Printer 1, 2 and 3, but Printer 1 cannot also serve POS B.
If something goes wrong
Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
Interfaces Test prints nothing | USB not selected, USB cable loose, or paper not loaded | Select USB under Communication interface, reseat the USB cable, load paper, try again |
The slip after restart shows "SSID: disconnected" | Normal for LAN | Nothing to fix. Continue with Step 9 |
No test chit after the address is saved | LAN cable plugged into a switch or mesh router; POS on a different router; another device already uses the printer's address | Cable the printer straight into the main router, put the POS on the same router, or pick the next free address (.202, .203) and update it on the POS. The POS shows Printer Limit Reached | The POS already has 6 additional printers | Delete a printer you no longer use under Printer Settings, then add the new one |
If none of this helps, contact Qashier support.
