[SG/MY] How to Install and Set Up the QashierPay WooCommerce Plugin

Enable online payments easily by integrating your WooCommerce store with QashierPay. Follow the step-by-step guide below to install and set up the QashierPay WooCommerce plugin.

This article shows how to get the QashierPay WooCommerce plugin and your API credentials from QashierHQ, install the plugin on your WordPress site, and set it up so customers can pay with QashierPay at your WooCommerce checkout. It is for merchants in Singapore and Malaysia with an approved QashierPay online payments account.

Before you start

  • Your QashierPay online payments account must be approved. In QashierHQ, open Online Payment in the left sidebar. If you see Start accepting payments online, click Apply now and complete the application first. QashierHQ states that approval usually takes 1–2 business days.

  • Have your WordPress administrator login ready.

  • Set your WooCommerce store currency to SGD (Singapore) or MYR (Malaysia) before you enable the gateway.

  • This plugin accepts payments. It is not the Settings > WooCommerce API setting in QashierHQ, which syncs inventory. For inventory, see How to Sync WooCommerce Inventory with Qashier.

Step 1: Get the plugin and your API credentials in QashierHQ

There are two places in QashierHQ to do this. Option A is on the online setup pages for merchants who signed up online; if QashierHQ does not open that page for you, use Option B. Both create the same key set: one API key and webhook secret per store, which also works for the Developer API.

Option A: the Online Payments setup page

  1. Log in to QashierHQ and open hq.qashier.com/onboarding/online-payments.

  2. Select the WooCommerce tab and click Configure API keys. The Configure for WooCommerce window opens.

  3. If you have more than one store, choose it under Store. Enter Your website URL and click Generate API keys.

  4. Copy the API key, Store ID and Webhook secret and save them somewhere safe. They are shown only once.

Option B: the Online Payment page

  1. In the QashierHQ left sidebar, click Online Payment. The keys are created for the store selected in QashierHQ.

  2. On the WooCommerce card, click Connect. The Connect WooCommerce window opens.

  3. Under step 1, click Download plugin (.zip) and save the file.

  4. Under step 2, enter Your store URL and click Generate keys.

  5. Copy the Consumer key (API key) and Consumer secret (webhook secret) and save them somewhere safe. They are shown only once. This window does not show your Store ID, which the plugin also needs. Ask your Qashier onboarding contact or Qashier support for it. If you can use Option A instead, it shows the Store ID together with a new API key and webhook secret; generating keys there replaces the keys from this window, so paste all three new values into the plugin.

If Qashier set up your account for you, your onboarding contact may have sent you the plugin file and these values instead.

Step 2: Install and activate the plugin

Single-site WordPress

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New.

  2. Click Upload Plugin at the top of the page.

  3. Choose the plugin .zip file you downloaded from QashierHQ and click Install Now.

  4. When the installation finishes, click Activate Plugin.

Multisite WordPress

  1. In your WordPress network dashboard, go to Plugins > Add New.

  2. Click Upload Plugin, then choose the plugin .zip file.

  3. Click Install Now.

  4. Click Network Activate to enable the plugin on all sites. If you only want QashierPay on some sites, go to each site's Plugins page instead and click Activate there.

Step 3: Set up the plugin in WooCommerce

  1. If you use multisite, open the dashboard of the site you want to set up.

  2. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Payments.

  3. Find Qashier – Qashier Pay in the list and click Finish Setup.

  4. Fill in the fields, in the order they appear:

    • Enable Qashier Pay: tick to switch the gateway on.

    • Qashier Gateway In Use: choose your market, Singapore or Malaysia.

    • Mode: Test while you set up, Live for real payments.

    • Description: the text customers see next to the payment option at checkout, for example "Pay via QPay".

    • Store Id: paste your Store ID from QashierHQ.

    • API Key: paste your API key from QashierHQ.

    • Webhook Secret Key: paste your webhook secret from QashierHQ.

    • Debug Log: tick only while testing.

  5. Click Save changes.

Step 4: Test it and go live

  1. With Mode set to Test, place a test order on your store and choose Qashier Pay at checkout. Check that you are taken to the QashierPay payment page and back to your store.

  2. In the plugin settings, change Mode to Live, untick Debug Log and click Save changes.

  3. Place a small real order to confirm it appears in QashierHQ.

What you should see

  • Customers see Qashier Pay as a payment method at checkout. See [SG/MY] How Customers Pay with QashierPay on Your WooCommerce Store for what the customer sees and where each payment is recorded.

  • Paid orders are marked as paid in WooCommerce, and the payments appear in QashierHQ. Full and partial refunds sync back to your WooCommerce orders.

  • Payouts appear in QashierHQ under Money & Finance > Payout Report.

If something goes wrong

Qashier Pay does not appear at checkout

Clicking Configure API keys asks you to verify your business first

You have not yet submitted your QashierPay application

Complete the application (Online Payment > Apply now). You can generate keys once it is submitted; real payments work only after it is approved.

To regenerate your keys: in QashierHQ, open Configure for WooCommerce (Option A) or Connect WooCommerce (Option B), enter your store URL and click Generate API keys or Regenerate keys. Type REGENERATE when asked, then click Regenerate or Confirm regenerate. Your old API key and webhook secret stop working immediately, so paste the new values into the plugin straight away.
