[PH] How to Set Up the XP80 Wi-Fi Kitchen Printer

Set up an Xprinter XP-80 kitchen printer to print order chits over Wi-Fi: test it over USB with the Xprinter tool on a Windows PC, give it a fixed IP address on your store network, then add it to Qashier POS.

Applies to: Philippines · Qashier POS · Xprinter XP-80 kitchen printer with Wi-Fi · Terminal PIN to open Settings on the POS. Merchants in other markets with the black Qashier Wi-Fi printer should follow How to Set Up the Qashier Wi-Fi Kitchen Printer (Black) with Qashier POS instead.

Before you start

  • A Windows PC or laptop (the Xprinter tool runs on Windows only) and the printer's USB cable.

  • A receipt roll loaded in the printer and the printer plugged into power.

  • The name (SSID) and password of the Wi-Fi network your POS uses. Use a 2.4 GHz network for both the POS and the printer.

  • Your POS's IP address (see Part 1).

  • If you have more than one printer, switch the others off and set up one printer at a time.

Part 1: Find your POS's IP address

  1. On the POS home screen, tap ☰ (top right) > Wifi.

  2. Tap the gear icon next to your connected network and note the IP address, for example 192.168.68.15. You will use its first three numbers (here 192.168.68) in Part 3.

Part 2: Connect and test over USB

  1. Connect the printer to the PC with the USB cable, then switch the printer on.

  2. Download the Xprinter test tool from Xprinter's website: go to Download and choose Receipt Printer.

  1. Extract the downloaded zip file and run Xprinter.exe.

  1. Click the English button at the bottom right to switch the tool from Chinese to English.

  1. Click Print on the right to test the printer. If a test slip prints, the USB connection works. If nothing prints, check the USB cable and that the printer is switched on, then try again.

Part 3: Set the printer's network and Wi-Fi

  1. Click Advanced at the lower right of the tool.

  1. Open the Net Settings tab and click Set Net.

  2. Under Net Settings, enter:

    • IP Address: the first three numbers of your POS IP, then .201 for the first printer (.202 for a second printer, and so on). Example: POS 192.168.68.15 → printer 192.168.68.201.

    • NetMask: 255.255.255.0

    • Gateway: the same first three numbers, then .1. Example: 192.168.68.1.

  3. Scroll down to WiFi Settings and enter:

    • SSID: the name of the Wi-Fi network your POS is connected to.

    • WiFi Key: that network's password.

  4. Click Set All to save both the network and Wi-Fi settings.

Part 4: Confirm the network connection

  1. Go back to the tool's home screen and open the NET Set tab.

  2. Click Refresh beside Local IP so the tool picks up your PC's current IP.

  3. In Printer IP, type the IP address you set in Part 3 (for example 192.168.68.201). Leave New IP as it is and do not click Set New IP.

  4. Click Connect beside Printer IP.

The screenshot is an example. Your numbers will differ, and you do not need to fill in New IP.

  1. A pop-up saying Connection successful confirms the printer is on your Wi-Fi network.

  2. Unplug the USB cable from the PC. Restart the printer.

Part 5: Add the printer on Qashier POS

  1. On the POS home screen, tap ☰ (top right) > Settings and enter your terminal PIN.

  2. Tap Printer Settings.

  3. Tap Additional Printer 1 (or the next free printer). In Printer IP Address, type the printer's IP from Part 3, for example 192.168.68.201.

  4. Scroll to Product Tabs assigned to this printer for printing and tick the product tabs this printer should print (tick Customized Product too if you use it).

  5. Tap Save, then return to the home screen.

  6. Tap ☰ > Test Print to send a test chit to the printer.

If Printer Settings shows no additional printer for you to edit, add it in QashierHQ first: Settings (gear icon, top right) > Printer Settings > Additional Printer Settings > select your store > Add Additional Printer > Printer Type: Wifi/LAN > Printer IP Address > Save. Then on the POS tap POS & Payment to refresh and continue from step 1 above. If you cannot add the printer yourself, contact your local support team and give them the printer's IP address.

What you should see

  • The test print from ☰ > Test Print comes out of the XP-80.

  • Items from the assigned product tabs print on the XP-80 as order chits when a sale is completed on the POS.
