Answers to the questions merchants ask most about Treats loyalty: points expiry, multi-store use, redemption, customer login, linked cards, voids and lost receipts.
Applies to: Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand · Treats. Card linking and QashierPay terminal questions apply to Singapore and Malaysia only.
Points and expiry
Do the points customers earn expire? Can I set the expiry?
Yes. When Treats is activated, points expire after 12 months by default. To change it, go to QashierHQ > Customers & Marketing > Treats Loyalty > CUSTOMISE TREATS > Points Expire After, choose 1, 3, 6, 12, 18 or 24 months, Custom (up to 60 months) or No Expiry, then click SAVE.
Expiry is rolling: if a customer makes no points-earning transaction within the period, their points reset to 0. Each new points-earning transaction restarts the period. Changing the period affects new transactions only; existing customers keep their current expiry dates. See Treats: How to Set Up and Use Treats Loyalty.
Multiple stores
I have several stores. Can they all use Treats?
Yes. Stores under the same Qashier account share Treats points: a customer earns at one store and can redeem at any of your stores. We recommend keeping all stores under the same account. If your outlets are set up as a brand group (a main outlet with member outlets), points expiry is managed by the main outlet. For franchise arrangements where outlets are not under one account, contact Qashier Support to check what is possible.
Redeeming points
Can the customer choose how many points to redeem? What is the minimum?
Yes, customers choose how many points to redeem on each transaction. By default, 100 points = 1.00 in your local currency (SGD, MYR, PHP or THB), so the minimum is 1 point (0.01). To change the ratio, contact Qashier Support. See How to Redeem Loyalty Points in Qashier POS.
Customer login
When does a customer have to log in to Treats again?
If they clear their phone browser's data, they need to log in again.
If the browser crashes or they force-close it, they normally stay logged in. If they force-close it during a slow login, they may need to log in again.
Logging in works like the first sign-up: the customer enters their mobile number and receives a one-time password by WhatsApp, Viber or SMS, then enters it in the Treats web app.
I upgraded from the previous loyalty points system to Treats. What happens to my existing customers' points and history?
Their information stays, but it is not migrated to Treats automatically. When an existing customer scans the Treats QR code at payment and creates a Treats profile, their existing points and transaction history are carried over to Treats. See the sign-up steps in Treats: How to Set Up and Use Treats Loyalty.
Linked cards (Singapore and Malaysia only)
Is there a limit to the number of cards a customer can link to their Treats profile?
A Treats profile can hold up to 10 cards, and each card can be linked to only one Treats account. To link another card, the customer pays with it at a store using Treats and QashierPay, scans the receipt QR code and taps Sure. See How Payment-Linked Loyalty Works in Treats (Singapore & Malaysia).
Voids
If I void a transaction on the QashierPay terminal, are the points returned to the customer?
Yes. Points the customer redeemed on that transaction are returned in full once the void succeeds.
Lost receipts and QR codes
A customer forgot to scan the QR code and lost the receipt. What can I do?
Reprint it. On Qashier POS, open Transaction Record, select the transaction, tap Print and choose Full Receipt or Treats QR Code (Points). The QR code stays valid as long as it has not been scanned yet.
