Setting up printers
Please refer to the following articles for printer setup:
How to access the printer settings on the QashierPOS terminal
Step 1: On your QashierPOS terminal, go to the home page and select the three horizontal lines aka the menu button on the top right hand corner.
Step 2: Select "Settings".
Step 3: Input the terminal PIN, then press "OK".
Step 4: Select "Printer Settings".
Step 5: On the POS terminal, find the printer that you would like to make changes to, then select the pencil icon to make the necessary changes.
Printer settings available on QashierPOS
Note: Please make sure that the POS version is 20231122 or later.
User can now easily configure the following settings of printer on the QashierPOS terminal:
Paper width settings
User can select the suitable paper width (57mm/80mm) for the printers under the "Paper Width" setting. This ensures that the printed receipts are accurately aligned.
Main receipt printer settings
User can now set a printer to print main receipt, allowing to print both receipts and order chits. Once user turn on this option, the following setting will appear:
Auto print receipt - toggle this option on to make the printer automatically print receipt.
The picture above shows how user's screen will display after (1.) toggle on "Set printer to print main receipt" and (2) toggle on "Auto print receipt"
Note: User can choose to have 1 or 2 copies of receipts to be automatically printed by simply selecting "1" or "2" under "Auto print receipt quantity".
If this printer is not set to print the main receipt, the printer will only print order chits.
Order chit quantity settings
Note: User can choose to have 1 or 2 copies of order chits to be automatically printed by simply selecting "1" or "2" under "Order chit quantity".
User can find 2 additional settings displayed:
1. Enable 1 quantity : 1 order chit printing
This will make the printer print order chit for each amount of item in order.
For example: if the order contains 2 apples and 1 banana, the printer will print 3 order chits: the 1st for 1 apple, the 2nd for another apple, and the 3rd for the banana.
2. Enable 1 item : 1 order chit printing
This will make the printer print order chit for each item in order.
For example: if the order contains 2 apples and 1 banana, the printer will print 2 order chits: the 1st for 2 apples, and the 2nd for 1 banana.
Note: the features mentioned above can only be turned on one at a time.
In the same situation, if you have both features turned off, the printer will bundle the entire order into a single order chit. So, 2 apples and 1 banana will be printed together on one order chit.
Tab(s) to be printed by the printer
User can choose the tab(s) of the for the items that user want printer to include. Simply pick the tab in the "Product Tabs assigned to this printer for printing" setting.
