Summary: Qashier POS can print receipts and order chits to a third-party Bluetooth printer that supports the ESC/POS command set. You add it yourself on the POS under Printer Settings; no call to support is needed. This article lists the Bluetooth printers Qashier has tested and walks through the setup.
Applies to: All markets · Qashier POS · all plans · you need the Terminal PIN.
Before you start
These printers are not on Qashier's price lists. Buy them from the manufacturer or a retailer. Qashier support can help you add the printer to the POS, but does not repair it or handle its warranty. See Can I Use My Own Printer or Barcode Scanner with Qashier POS?.
The printer must support the ESC/POS command set. Check the manufacturer's specifications before you buy.
Charge the printer, load thermal paper and switch it on.
Bluetooth is the only printer type you can add from the POS yourself. Wifi, Ethernet/LAN and USB printers are added by support or in QashierHQ.
Each POS supports up to 6 additional printers. In QashierHQ, only Additional Printer 1 can be a Bluetooth or USB printer; printers 2 onwards are Wifi/LAN.
The POS uses location permission to find Bluetooth devices. If it asks, tap Allow location permission.
Tested Bluetooth printers
Qashier has tested the printers below with Qashier POS. Other ESC/POS Bluetooth printers may also work but have not been tested.
Model | Pairing code | Notes |
Monobin Thermal Bluetooth Printer | None | Check the paper width in the printer's specifications |
Gprinter GP-D801 | 0000 or 1234 | Check the paper width in the printer's specifications |
Epson M335B | None | M335B is the model code printed on the printer's label |
Kincan JK-5802H | None | Check the paper width in the printer's specifications |
On the POS you choose a Paper Width of 57mm or 80mm. Pick the one that matches the paper your printer takes.
Steps: add the printer on Qashier POS
Switch the printer on. If it needs a pairing code (see the table), have it ready.
On the POS main screen, tap ☰ at the top right, then Settings, and enter the Terminal PIN.
Tap Printer Settings.
Tap Add Additional Printer.
Under Printer Type, keep Bluetooth. If you choose Wifi, Ethernet/LAN or USB, the POS shows Contact us for setup assistance instead.
Tap Scan For Printers. Make sure the printer is switched on. Nearby printers appear under Bluetooth Printer Nearby.
Tap your printer. Enter the pairing code if the POS asks for one.
Choose the Paper Width: 57mm or 80mm.
Optional: tick Set this printer to print main receipt if customer receipts should print here, and pick the tabs under Product Tabs assigned to this printer for printing if order chits should print here.
Tap Save.
What you should see
The printer is listed under Printer Settings as an Additional Printer.
Tap ☰ > Test Print (Additional Printer). A test chit prints on the Bluetooth printer.
To swap to a different Bluetooth printer later, open the printer under Printer Settings and tap Rescan and change bluetooth printer.
In QashierHQ (Settings > Store > Printer Settings > Additional Printer Settings) a Bluetooth printer shows "Please set up bluetooth printer via POS". You cannot add or edit it from QashierHQ.
If something goes wrong
Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
Your printer does not appear under Bluetooth Printer Nearby | Printer off, out of range, already paired to another device, or location permission denied | Switch the printer on, bring it next to the POS, unpair it from other phones or tablets, tap Allow location permission if asked, then Scan Again |
The POS shows Printer Limit Reached | The POS already has 6 additional printers | Delete a printer you no longer use under Printer Settings, then add the new one |
The POS shows Contact us to setup more printers | Your plan allows one self-added Bluetooth printer | Tap I WANT TO SET UP A NEW PRINTER to chat with support |
Test chit prints garbled text or nothing | The printer does not support ESC/POS, or the wrong Paper Width is selected | Check the printer's specifications; open the printer under Printer Settings and change Paper Width |
Printing stops after a while | Printer battery flat or Bluetooth dropped | Charge the printer, switch it off and on, then Test Print (Additional Printer) again |
