A price tier is an alternative price for a product, such as a Happy Hour, Member, Senior or Wholesale price, that you set per product in QashierHQ. At checkout on Qashier POS, the cashier taps Price Tier and picks a tier. Products that have a price for that tier then ring up at that price, and the tier name prints on the receipt and shows in your reports. What a price tier is, and is not
A price tier is a named set of prices that the cashier chooses by hand on the POS. It is not linked to a customer's spend, loyalty points or membership status, and it does not switch on by itself at a set time.
Each product can have a different price on each tier. Products without a price on the selected tier sell at their normal price.
A special type of tier, Buffet / Tiered Menu, drives a separate QR menu for tables instead of a checkout price. See How to Set Up a Buffet / Tiered Menu (Menu Tier) for Dynamic QR Ordering.
How price tiers work
Make sure Price Tiers is enabled. You will see a Price Tier button at the top of Product Management in QashierHQ. If it is missing, check Qashier Marketplace or contact Qashier Support.
Create your tiers in QashierHQ under Products & Inventory > Product Management > Price Tier, and switch each tier on. See How to Create and Assign Price Tiers in QashierHQ.
Set a tier price on each product from the product's Price Tier button in Edit Product (same article).
Select the tier on Qashier POS before adding items: tap Price Tier, then the tier name. See How to Make a Sale Using a Price Tier on Qashier POS.
Check the result. Products with a tier price show a price-tag icon on the POS tile, the receipt prints the tier name under the item (for example "(Happy Hour Price)"), and the POS Sales by Product report shows the product as "Heineken (Happy Hour)". QashierHQ transaction details show the tier the same way.

Ways to use price tiers
In every example, the cashier selects the tier on the POS for that sale or period. Nothing changes automatically.
Happy hour (F&B): create a "Happy Hour" tier with lower drink prices. During happy hour, the cashier selects it before ringing up orders.
Buffet or set menus by session (F&B): create tiers such as "Lunch" and "Dinner" and select the right one for the session. For QR-ordering buffets, use a Buffet / Tiered Menu tier instead.
Event or bulk pricing (F&B, retail): create a "Catering" or "Wholesale" tier for larger orders and select it when serving that customer.
Member, student or senior pricing (retail, beauty): create a "Member" tier and select it when serving a member. The POS does not check membership for you.
Service level (beauty and services): create tiers such as "Senior Stylist" or "Director" so the same service can be charged at a different rate depending on who performs it.
Seasonal or promotional pricing (retail, beauty): create a "Promo" tier and switch it on in QashierHQ only for the promotion period. Switching a tier off hides it from the POS without deleting its prices.
Tip: if you want a discount that is offered only on set dates, days or times, use a preset discount instead. It shows on Qashier POS only during the window you choose, and staff apply it from the discount list. See How to Create a Preset Discount in QashierHQ.
Good to know
You can create up to 20 price tiers per store. Buffet / Tiered Menu tiers count towards this limit.
Each tier name must be unique and up to 50 characters.
Switch a tier off in Manage Price Tier to hide it from the POS without deleting it. While it is off, you cannot edit its product prices.
Drag tiers to reorder them. The order is shown on the POS.
Deleting a tier removes its price from every product.
