Give a discount on one item, or on the whole bill, for an open table order on Qashier POS, using a preset discount or a custom discount.
Applies to: All markets · Qashier POS · stores with Table Management turned on · Terminal PIN for custom discounts if your store requires it.
Before you start:
To use a preset discount, create it first in QashierHQ (see How to Create a Preset Discount in QashierHQ).

Item discount or bill discount?
Item discount: applies to one item on the table. Start by tapping the item.
Bill discount: applies to the whole table bill. Start with the Discount button in the table toolbar.
Apply a discount to one item
Tap the table.
Tap the item you want to discount.
In the Please select pop-up, tap Discount. The Add/View Discount list opens.
Choose the discount:
Preset discount: tap the preset discount you created.
Custom discount: tap +Custom Discount, choose % or $ (fixed amount), type the amount in Enter discount value, optionally add Discount Notes, then tap Confirm.
Tap Add & Close. The discount shows under the item.

Open-price items: the pop-up shows Edit instead of Discount. Tap Edit, then Apply Discount, and continue from step 4.
Apply a discount to the whole bill
Tap the table.
In the toolbar under the table name, tap Discount (next to Add Item). The Add/View Discount list opens.
Choose the discount:
Preset discount: tap the preset discount you created.
Custom discount: tap +Custom Discount, choose % or $ (fixed amount), type the amount in Enter discount value, optionally add Discount Notes, then tap Confirm.
Tap Add & Close. A discount line appears under the subtotal, above Print Bill.

What you should see
Item discounts show under the discounted item. A bill discount shows as a discount line under the subtotal.
Things to note
Splitting the bill by item? Use a % bill discount. A $ (fixed amount) bill discount stops you splitting the bill by item.
Items already paid online cannot be discounted.
Custom discount PIN: if your store requires a PIN for custom discounts, you are asked for the Terminal PIN after tapping +Custom Discount (see How to Require a Terminal PIN for Custom Discounts in Qashier POS).
Philippines: you cannot add an item discount while a Special Discount (SC/PWD) is applied to the whole bill. Remove the bill-level special discount first.
If something goes wrong
