How to Reset the Sticker/Label Printer (Soft Reset & Software Reset)

Reset your Qashier sticker/label printer when it stops responding, prints blank labels or no longer connects. A soft reset (feed button) refreshes the printer and keeps your settings. A software reset (Printer Utility on a Windows PC) restores the printer to factory defaults.

Applies to: All markets · The sticker/label printer supplied by Qashier · No PIN needed. The software reset needs a Windows PC and the printer's USB cable.

When to reset

Soft reset (feed button)

The soft reset refreshes the printer. It does not remove the settings made to the printer.

  1. Switch the sticker printer off.

  2. Find the feed button on the front of the printer.

  3. Hold the feed button down and, while still holding it, switch the printer on. A red light shows.

  4. Keep holding the button. The red light goes off and the blue light comes on with a beep.

  5. Release the feed button when you hear the beep and see the blue light.

  6. Wait a few seconds. A configuration chit prints showing the printer's current settings. This confirms the reset worked.

Software reset (Printer Utility on a Windows PC)

Use this if the soft reset does not fix the problem. It restores the printer to its factory defaults.

  1. Connect the printer to a Windows PC with the USB cable.

  2. Open the Printer Utility application on the PC. If you do not have it, contact Qashier Support for the installer.

  3. Open the Printer Function tab and click Factory Default. The printer beeps and the blue light flickers.

  4. Click Printer Configuration, select Wifi Setup and click Load to check the network settings.

  5. Restart the printer.

The printer resets, but the POS still does not print stickers

The printer is not set up on the POS, or is on a different network

Both resets done and it still fails
