How to Use the Multi-Store Sales Dashboard in QashierHQ

Summary: The MULTI STORE REPORTS tab of the QashierHQ Sales Dashboard compares sales, transaction count, average transaction value and customer satisfaction across your stores and store groups, so you can track performance and spot trends at a glance.

Applies to: All markets · QashierHQ (web) · accounts with more than one store. The tab is marked BETA in QashierHQ.

Before you start

  • Your QashierHQ account has more than one store. With one store, you see the single-store view only, without the tabs.

  • If you log in to QashierHQ as a sub-user, your account owner must give you access to the dashboard.

  • If your stores are set up for payments only (QashierPay without Qashier POS), Sales Dashboard is locked.

  • The Sales by Product chart needs Chain Store Management.

How to open the multi-store dashboard

  1. Log in to QashierHQ.

  2. In the left menu, under Money & Finance, click Sales Dashboard. The page is titled Dashboard.

  3. Click the MULTI STORE REPORTS tab, next to Store Specific Reports.

Store Specific Reports shows one store at a time. Choose the store at the top of the tab to see Compare across Months, Compare across Weeks, Compare across Days, Compare by Hours, Past 30 Days (daily sales and average sales by day) and Hourly Sales. MULTI STORE REPORTS shows all your stores side by side, as described below.

Types of filters

The filters at the top of the tab (FILTER BY: and VIEW BY:) apply to every chart. Use them to show only the information you need.

Date filter

Choose the date range for the charts. The default is the past 7 days (today and the 6 days before). Click the date range, then either click a shortcut (Today, Yesterday, This Month, Last Month, Year To Date or Last Year), which applies straight away, or set the start and end dates and times and click Confirm.

Store filter

Choose which stores appear on the charts. The default is All Stores. Click All Stores, then tick store groups under Filter By Store Groups or single stores under Filter By Store (use Search Store name to find a store). The button then shows what you picked, for example 2 Stores, 1 Store Group Selected. To create groups, see Store groups below.

View filter

Choose how the data is grouped: Daily, Weekly, Monthly or Hourly. The default is Daily.

Note: Hourly works only when the date range is a single day. When you pick a single day, the view switches to Hourly automatically and the other options are greyed out. When you pick a longer range again, the view switches back to Daily.

Each chart also has its own filters. If you change the filters inside a chart, the change applies to that chart only. If you then change the filters at the top of the tab, they replace the chart's own filters.

Types of charts

Total Sales Across Stores

Shows the total sales of each store across the selected date range. Use it to compare sales trends between stores.

Total Transaction Count Across Stores

Shows the number of transactions at each store within the selected date range. Use it to compare transaction volume between stores.

Average Transaction Value Across Stores

Shows the average transaction value of each store within the selected date range. Use it to compare how much customers spend per transaction at each store.

Sales by Product

Shows the sales of each product at each store within the selected date range. Use it to compare how a product sells across stores. This chart appears only when Chain Store Management is turned on, because only then do your stores share the same products.

Note: If you have 30 products or fewer, the chart shows all of them automatically (the button reads All products). If you have more than 30 products, the chart stays blank until you choose the products you want to see: click No product selected. You can choose up to 30 products at a time, so the bars stay readable.

Example: to see last month's sales of the products in a "Cable" category:

  1. Click the date range, then click Last Month.

  1. In the Sales by Product chart, click No product selected.

  1. Search for "Cable" (or the category or product you want).

  2. Tick the products you want to compare (up to 30).

  3. Click Confirm.

The chart shows the sales of each chosen product at each store, with one colour for each store.

Tip: In a bar chart (Total Transaction Count Across Stores or Sales by Product), click any bar to see a pie chart that breaks that bar down by store.

Average Customer Satisfaction Score Across Stores

Shows the average customer satisfaction score of each store within the selected date range. Use it to see how satisfied customers are with the service at each store. The scores come from your customer satisfaction survey; see How to View Customer Satisfaction Survey Results in QashierHQ.

Store groups

Store groups let you group stores that have something in common. For example, group your shops as "Physical" and your pop-up stalls as "Event", or group stores by location: "North", "South", "East" and "West".

When you select a group in the store filter, the sales and transactions of all stores in the group are combined into one line or bar on each chart. This makes it easy to track how the group performs as a whole.

Create a store group

  1. Click All Stores (the store filter), then click + Add new store group. If you already have groups, the link reads + Add/ Edit store groups.

  1. In the Edit Store Groups pop-up, click + Add new store group.

  1. Type the group name (for example, Event) in Group 1 name.

  2. Under Stores in group, select the stores that belong to the group.

  3. To add more groups, repeat steps 2 to 4. When you are done, click Confirm.

Select the new group in the store filter, and the charts show the combined figures for the stores in the group:

Total Sales Across Stores for the stores in the Event group

Total Transaction Count Across Stores for the stores in the Event group

Average Transaction Value Across Stores for the stores in the Event group

Average Customer Satisfaction Score Across Stores for the stores in the Event group

Edit a store group

  1. Click All Stores (the store filter), then click + Add/ Edit store groups.

  1. In Edit Store Groups, change the group's name, or add or remove stores under Stores in group.

  2. Click Confirm to save the changes.

Delete a store group

  1. Click All Stores (the store filter), then click + Add/ Edit store groups.

  1. Next to the group you want to remove, click Delete Group.

  2. Click Confirm to save the changes.

The store group is deleted.

FAQ

Can a store be in more than one store group?

Yes. For example, Store A can be in both the "Physical" and the "North" groups.

Can I select a store group and a single store in the store filter at the same time?

Yes. For example, you can select the "North" group and Store A together.

How many store groups can I create?

There is currently no limit to the number of store groups you can create.

Why is the Sales by Product chart only available with Chain Store Management?

With Chain Store Management, all your stores share the same products, so the chart can show how one product sells across every store. Stores that do not share products cannot be compared product by product.

Can I change the colours of the charts?

No, not at the moment. Chart colours come from a fixed set of colours and cannot be changed.
