With Chain Store Management on, all the stores in your chain share one ingredient list and the same ingredient assignments, while each store keeps its own ingredient quantities. Ingredient names and units stay consistent across outlets, and each store's stock is deducted only by its own sales.
Applies to: All markets · QashierHQ · Ingredient Management add-on activated for every store in the chain · Chain Store Management enabled.
Before you start
Ingredient Management is activated for every store in the chain. Activate it for each store from Qashier Marketplace in QashierHQ, or contact support.
Chain Store Management is enabled for your account. To turn it on, contact Qashier Support. See Chain Store Management: Managing Multiple Stores in QashierHQ.
To see your ingredients: in QashierHQ, under Products & Inventory, click Inventory / Ingredient and open the Ingredient tab. The page shows the Total tracked, Healthy stock, Low stock and Out of stock cards, and the Product View, Export and Add Ingredient buttons.
Key benefits
Consistent ingredients. All stores use the same ingredient names and units.
One shared list. Ingredients are created once and are visible to every store, while each store keeps its own stock level.
Accurate deductions. When a product with ingredients is sold, the ingredients are deducted from the selling store's quantities only.
Chain Store Management ON vs OFF
Chain Store Management OFF | Chain Store Management ON | |
Ingredient list | Each store has its own separate ingredients | One ingredient list shared by all stores |
Products | Not synced between stores | Shared automatically across all stores |
Ingredient quantities | Kept per store | Still kept per store: the shared ingredient has a separate quantity for each store |
Stock deduction on a sale | Deducted from that store's own ingredient list | Deducted only from the selling store's quantity of the shared ingredient |
Chain Store Management OFF: each store has its own ingredients. In this example, Store A and Store B have different lists.
Chain Store Management ON: all ingredients are combined into one list that every store in the chain can see.
How ingredients work in a chain
When Chain Store Management and Ingredient Management are both on, all stores share products, ingredients and ingredient assignments (deduct ratios). Ingredient quantities stay independent for each store.
Tips
There is no "primary store" setting. We recommend creating all products and ingredients from one store so your list stays tidy, but anything created in any store is shared with the whole chain.
Changes made in one store sync to all other stores automatically.
Each store manages its own ingredient stock, so stock counts stay accurate per location.
Action | Store A (where you create) | Store B | Store C |
Create a product | Created here | Synced from Store A | Synced from Store A |
Create an ingredient | Created here | Synced from Store A | Synced from Store A |
Assign ingredients and set the deduct ratio | Assigned here | Synced from Store A | Synced from Store A |
Ingredient quantity | Managed independently | Managed independently | Managed independently |
Product and ingredient syncing
Any product or ingredient created in Store A is automatically available in Store B and Store C.
A product or ingredient created in Store B or Store C also syncs to every other store in the chain.
Ingredient deduction and tracking
When a product is sold at a store, its ingredients are deducted only from that store's quantities.
Ingredient quantities are not shared between stores, so each location's stock stays accurate.
Changes to assignments and deduct ratios
Any change to a product's ingredient assignments or deduct ratios in one store updates automatically in all stores.
If something goes wrong
Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
An ingredient created in one store does not appear in another | Chain Store Management is not enabled for the account, or Ingredient Management is not activated for that store | Activate Ingredient Management for the store; contact support about Chain Store Management |
Ingredient stock went down in the wrong store | The sale was rung up on a POS that belongs to another store | Check which store each POS terminal is assigned to, and correct the quantities with a stock action |
If the problem continues, contact Qashier Support.
