If your main POS (for example a QashierXL) sends card payments to a separate QashierPay card terminal (for example a QashierXS), the card terminal shows a Standby for payment screen that waits for payment requests from the POS. This article explains what the screen does and how to use the settlement button and the connection indicator on it.
Applies to: Singapore and Malaysia · QashierPay card terminals paired with a separate Qashier POS · Qashier POS version 20240731 and later. If you do not see the screen, update Qashier POS and the QashierPay app on the card terminal.
Before you start
The card terminal must be logged in to its own payment-terminal store (usually named "<your store name> cc"), not your main store. The Standby for payment screen is not shown on a device logged in to the main store.
The QashierPay app must be installed on the card terminal.
For the full checkout flow, see [SG/MY] How to Accept Card Payments on QashierXL with a QashierPay Terminal (QashierXS).
How it works
Opening the page. On the card terminal's home screen, tap Standby for payment. If you leave the terminal idle on the home screen, an orange banner counts down "Redirecting to Standby for Payment page in N seconds..." and the page opens by itself after 15 seconds. Touching the screen resets the countdown. The countdown only runs on the home screen, not while another page is in use.
Receiving payments. Keep the card terminal on this page while you take orders on the main POS; it only receives payment requests while it is here. The status line reads "Ready for payments". When the POS sends a payment it changes to "Incoming payment request", then "Launching QashierPay" as the card screen opens.
Connection indicator. At the top right, the page shows your internet latency: "No Internet" or a value in milliseconds. Green means 0–100 ms, yellow 101–200 ms, orange 201–300 ms and red over 300 ms. Green or yellow is fine; orange or red can slow down or interrupt card payments.
Manual Settlement button. At the top left, tap Manual Settlement to settle the day's card batch without leaving the page. At "Do you want to proceed to do settlement?", tap Yes. The same button is on the terminal's home screen. It is hidden when the terminal is in kiosk mode. See [SG/MY] How to Settle Card Payments on Your QashierPay Terminal (Auto & Manual).
If something goes wrong
What you see | Why | What to do |
No Standby for payment button on the home screen | The device is logged in to the main store, is not set up as a QashierPay card terminal, or the QashierPay app is not installed. | Log the card terminal in to its payment-terminal store. If the button is still missing, contact Qashier Support. |
Payments sent from the main POS do not reach the card terminal | The card terminal is not on the Standby for payment page, or one of the devices is offline. | Open Standby for payment on the card terminal and check the internet connection on both devices. |
The indicator shows "No Internet" or stays red | The card terminal has a weak or no connection. | Reconnect to Wi-Fi or check the SIM card, then wait for the indicator to turn green or yellow. |
No Manual Settlement button | The terminal is in kiosk mode. | Settle from the home screen with kiosk mode off, or contact Qashier Support. |
If the problem continues, Contact Qashier Support by Phone, WhatsApp, LINE or Viber (SG, MY, TH, PH).
