With Dynamic QR ordering, Qashier POS prints a new QR code each time you open a table. Customers at that table scan it, order from their phone and the order goes straight to the table's bill on the POS. This guide shows staff how to open a table, print its QR code and handle the order afterwards.
Applies to: All markets · Qashier POS with Table Management · QR ordering set to Dynamic in QashierHQ.
Using Mobile Ordering? This guide is for QR ordering set up in QashierHQ under Settings > Additional Settings > Table Management. If your QashierHQ shows Products & Inventory > Mobile Ordering, see How to Set Up Mobile Ordering (Treats Ordering) in QashierHQ.
Before you start
In QashierHQ, go to Settings > Additional Settings > Table Management. Tick Enable Table Management Feature and Enable QR Ordering to make self ordering, then choose Dynamic: Print a new QR for every order. Not sure which mode to use? See Static vs Dynamic QR Ordering: Which One Should I Use?
The QR menu shows the products you sell on the POS. To keep a product off the QR menu, see How to Hide Products from the QR Menu and Kiosk in QashierHQ.
Each QR code is linked to one table.
Open a table and print its QR code
On the POS, tap POS & Payment.
Tap the table the customers are sitting at.
If your store uses a buffet or tiered menu, the Menu Tier pop-up opens. Choose the tier and quantity and tap Confirm. See How to Set Up a Buffet / Tiered Menu (Menu Tier) for Dynamic QR Ordering.
Enter the No. of Pax and confirm. This step is skipped if Disable no. of pax pop up is ticked in QashierHQ (unless a count-down table timer is on, in which case the pop-up asks for the timer instead).
A pop-up shows the QR code for the table. Tap Print. The terminal prints the QR code with simple ordering instructions for the customer.
The table is now open and its icon turns from grey to blue.
Give the printed QR code to the customers at that table.
Here's a video guide for these steps:
How the customer orders
The customer scans the QR code with their phone camera. Your online ordering page (QashierEats) opens.
They choose items and add them to their order cart.
When they are done, they tap the order cart button at the top right.
They tap the place order button to send the order to your store.
What you should see
The POS plays a notification sound and the table icon turns from blue to green.
The customer's items appear in the table's bill. The staff name on these items is Customer Self Order.
If Auto print order chit from static/dynamic QR Ordering is ticked in QashierHQ, an order chit prints automatically.
After the order
Change the order: staff can add items, void items, change the table or mark items as takeaway on the POS, the same way as any table order. See How to Void an Item or a Whole Table in Table Management (Qashier POS) and How to Change Tables, Combine Tables or Change Pax in Qashier POS.
Take payment: customers cannot pay through the QR code. Select the table on the POS and take payment as usual.
After payment: the table's QR code stops working. The next customers at that table get a new QR code when you open the table again.
Reprint a lost QR code: select the open table and tap the QR code icon on the table's bill panel. The QR pop-up opens again; tap Print.
Stock: to stop customers ordering items that are out of stock, see How to Show Out-of-Stock Items as Sold Out on QR Ordering.
