Tipping lets you record a tip from your customer when you take payment in Qashier POS, either as cash or added to a non-cash payment such as a card.
Applies to: All markets · Qashier POS · turned on in QashierHQ under Table Management settings.
Before you start
In QashierHQ, go to Settings > Additional Settings > Table Management.
Tick Enable Tipping Feature.
On Qashier POS, the Tips button now appears on the payment page. If it does not, close and reopen Qashier POS.
If you don't see Table Management in Additional Settings, your plan may not include it. Contact support to check.
How to add a tip
Go to POS & Payment.
Choose a product.
Tap Add & Close. The product appears in the cart.
Here's a video guide for steps 1 to 3:
Tap Pay to go to the payment page.
Tap Tips at the top left of the payment page.
Enter the tip amount the customer is giving.
Tap how the tip is paid:
Cash Tipping: the customer gives the tip in cash. The bill itself can be paid by any method.
Cashless Tipping: the tip is added to the bill's non-cash payment, for example a card. You cannot pay the bill in cash with this option.
The Tips button now shows the tip amount. Select the payment method.
Tap Confirm to take the payment.
When the payment is complete, the screen shows the total amount paid and the tip.

Good to know
To change the tip before you pay, tap the amount on the Tips button and enter a new amount. Enter 0 to remove the tip.
Tips and Split Bill don't mix. Once you enter a tip, Split does nothing. Remove the tip first if you need to split the bill.
Tips is not shown when you take payment for an invoice, or on a kiosk.
Where to see tips
Qashier POS > Transaction Record: the sale shows Tips next to the amount.
Qashier POS > Cash Management: cash tips are shown as Cash Tips In.
QashierHQ > Money & Finance > Full Report: the report shows a Tipping Amount row.
If something goes wrong
Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
No Tips button on the payment page | Tipping is not turned on, or you are paying an invoice or using a kiosk | Tick Enable Tipping Feature in QashierHQ (see Before you start), then close and reopen Qashier POS. |
"Cash payment can't be used when cashless tipping is selected." | You chose Cashless Tipping and then Cash as the payment method | Tap Tips and choose Cash Tipping, or pay by card or another non-cash method. |
"Please enter the correct tipping amount." | The tip amount was left empty | Tap Tips again and enter an amount. |
Tapping Split does nothing | A tip has been entered | Remove the tip (enter 0), then split the bill. |
