Two models
The QashierX1 comes in two models. The only difference is a built-in barcode scanner on one of them: staff scan product barcodes and go straight to checkout and payment. Everything else in this guide is the same for both.
1. What's in the box
QashierX1 POS terminal

1 x receipt roll
2. Charge the QashierX1
Insert the end of the charger into the charging port on the back of the QashierX1 and plug the other end into a power socket. Charge it fully before first use.
3. Switch on the QashierX1
Press and hold the top button on the left side of the terminal until the screen lights up.
4. Connect to the internet
On the POS home screen, tap ☰ (top right) > Wifi.
Select your store's Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
To use mobile data instead, fit a SIM card: How to Insert a SIM Card (4G) and Turn On Hotspot on the QashierX1.
5. Load or change the receipt roll
Open the cover on the back of the terminal. Remove any remaining paper from the previous roll and any loose pieces.
Hold the new roll so that the paper feeds from the top, and place it into the compartment with the paper exit towards the front.
Make sure the thermal (shiny) side of the paper faces the print head. If the roll is the wrong way round, printouts come out blank.
Close the printer cover, making sure the end of the paper comes out through the slot.
Receipt paper: 57 mm x 35 mm thermal receipt roll. Always check the paper size before buying. You can order X1 receipt rolls from Qashier in Malaysia and Thailand, or buy thermal rolls of this size from stationery shops and online marketplaces.
6. Do a test print
On the POS home screen, tap ☰ (top right).
Tap Test in-built printer.

7. Connect a cash drawer
Plug the cash drawer's micro-USB cable into the micro-USB port on the left side of the QashierX1 (see the animation below).
Do a cash sale on the POS. The drawer should open when the sale is completed.

If something goes wrong
Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
Terminal does not switch on | Battery flat | Charge it for at least 30 minutes, then press and hold the power button again |
Test print comes out blank | Roll loaded upside down | Reload the roll with the thermal side facing the print head (step 5) |
