A preset discount is a discount you set up once in QashierHQ so staff can pick it from a list on Qashier POS, instead of typing a custom discount each time. You choose the amount, when it is available, and whether it applies to specific products or the whole bill.
Applies to
Markets: all markets. Amounts are in your store's currency.
Product: QashierHQ (Discount Management). Staff apply the discount on Qashier POS.
Access: the account owner, or a QashierHQ user with the Discount Management access right.
Before you start
Discount Management must be turned on for your store. If you see a lock icon next to Discount Management in the sidebar, or the Manage In-store Promotions page opens instead of your discounts, click Activate. If the page shows Compare plans or Talk to us instead, your plan does not include Discount Management yet; use that button or contact Qashier support.
Discounts belong to one store. If you have several outlets, create the discount in each store that should offer it.
Create a preset discount
In the QashierHQ left sidebar, under Products & Inventory, click Discount Management.
Select the store from the Store picker.
Click Create New Discount. The Create New Discount window opens.
Enter a Discount Title (required). Staff see this name on Qashier POS. Optional: add a Discount Description.
Under Discount Availability, choose when the discount shows on Qashier POS. By default, All Dates and All Days and Time are ticked, so it is always available.
Specific dates: untick All Dates and choose the Start Date and End Date. For example, a 10% lunch promo on the total bill for your first week of opening.
Specific days and times: untick All Days and Time, tick the days you want, and set a Start Time and End Time for each. Use the Copy from above icon to repeat the times from the row above. For example, an off-peak weekday 15% off manicures and pedicures.
The start date must not be after the end date, and each start time must be before its end time. A time window cannot run past midnight (for example, 22:00 to 02:00).
Under Trigger Type, Manual is selected. Staff choose the discount on Qashier POS when they want to apply it.
Under They Get..., choose one:
% OFF: a percentage off.
$ OFF: a fixed amount off, in your store's currency.
Under Enter Discount Value, type the amount, for example 10 for 10% off, or 5 for 5.00 off. This field is required.
Under For, choose one:
Specific Product(s) (the default): click the add-list icon, tick the products in Apply discount condition, then click Confirm. No products are selected until you add them. Products excluded from discounts are not listed.
Total Bill: the discount applies to the whole bill.
Click Create New at the top right to save.
What you should see
The discount appears in the Discount Management list for that store as Ongoing, or Upcoming if its start date is in the future. Staff can then apply it on Qashier POS. See How to Apply a Preset Discount in Qashier POS.

If something goes wrong
What you see | Likely cause | What to do |
No Create New Discount button | No store is selected, or Discount Management is not turned on for the store | Select the store. If you see the Manage In-store Promotions page, click Activate. |
The window will not save | A required field is empty or invalid | Check Discount Title and Enter Discount Value, and that start dates and times are before end dates and times. |
"Start date can not greater than end date" or a time error | The start is after the end | Fix the dates or times. Split an overnight window into two days. |
The discount does not show on Qashier POS | Wrong store, or today is outside the Discount Availability dates, days or times | Check the store and the availability settings. Edit the discount if needed. |
A product is missing from Apply discount condition | The product is excluded from discounts | Remove the product's discount exclusion first. |
