Summary: Quick Order lets a cashier add the first product of a category to the cart with a single tap on that category on Qashier POS. Turn it on per category in QashierHQ. It suits categories that hold one main item, or menus that do not need the Tab > Category > Product drill-down.

Before you start
Quick Order is a category setting. Create the category and add at least one product first: see How to Create Tabs, Categories and Products in QashierHQ.

Turn on Quick Order for a category
Log in to QashierHQ.
In the left menu, under Products & Inventory, click Product Management, then choose the store.
Select the tab, then click the category tile. The category pop-up opens.
In the pop-up header, switch on Enable Quick Order (next to Archived Product List). The change saves automatically.

How it works on Qashier POS
Once the terminal has synced, open POS & Payment.
Category with one product
Tap the category.
One unit of the product is added to the cart straight away.
Category with several products
Tap the category to add one unit of its first product.
To choose a different product, press and hold the category. The product list opens.
Tap the product, then tap Add & Close.
Good to know
The "first" product is the first one in the category's display order. To change which product is added, rearrange the products: see How to Rearrange Tabs, Categories and Products in QashierHQ.
If the first product is marked sold out, tapping the category adds nothing.
Quick Order also works for combo categories: tapping the category adds the first combo, with the first item of each section selected.
An empty category shows "Category is empty, please add product to this category first".
If something goes wrong
What you see | Cause | What to do |
Tapping the category still opens the product list | The toggle is off, or the terminal has not synced. | Check Enable Quick Order in the category pop-up and keep the POS online for a minute. |
Tapping the category adds nothing | The first product is sold out. | Clear the sold-out status or rearrange the products. |
"Category is empty, please add product to this category first" | The category has no products. | Add a product to the category. |
