Summary: Qashier hardware comes with a limited manufacturer's warranty against defects. This article explains what the warranty covers, how long it lasts, how to make a claim, what happens when a device is out of warranty, and what QashierCare adds for merchants in Malaysia.
Applies to: Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand. Hardware bought from Qashier: QashierXS, QashierX2, QashierXL, Qashier Soundbox, tablets and accessories. If you are in another market, contact your local support team for your warranty terms.
Before you start
Have your store name, the device model and its serial number ready. The serial number is printed on the label on the back or underside of the device, and on Qashier POS you can find it by tapping the ☰ menu and then Support: the support window shows the Serial Number.
Try the quick fixes first. Many reported faults are solved by a restart, a cache clear or a new receipt roll. See How to Clear Cache on Qashier POS (Fix a Slow POS) and Troubleshooting Printer Issues on Qashier POS.
What the standard warranty covers
Hardware | Warranty period |
QashierXS, QashierX2, QashierXL and other Qashier terminals | 1 year from the date of purchase |
Qashier Soundbox, cables and other third-party hardware and accessories | 6 months from the date of purchase |
QashierTab 8" and QashierKDS 10" tablets (Malaysia price list) | 6 months from the date of purchase |
The warranty covers defective materials and faulty workmanship. Examples of covered faults:
The power adapter that came in the box can no longer charge or power the device because of a factory defect.
A swollen battery that is not the result of accidental damage.
A flickering screen or dead pixels caused by a factory defect.
A touchscreen that stops responding because of a factory defect.
The warranty does not cover wear and tear, scratches and cosmetic marks from normal use; lost or stolen devices; intentional damage, misuse, tampering or attempts to repair the device yourself; or damage from natural disasters and other external causes. Accidental damage (drops, spills, cracked screens, liquid damage) is not a factory defect and is not covered by the standard warranty. The warranty is personal to the business that bought the device and cannot be transferred to another owner. If the fault is covered, Qashier will either repair the device or replace it with a refurbished unit.
How to make a warranty claim
Contact support. On Qashier POS, tap the ☰ menu and then Chat with Support, or use the phone and chat channels in Contact Qashier Support by Phone, WhatsApp, LINE or Viber.
Tell us your store name, the device model and serial number, what is wrong and when it started. Photos or a short video of the fault speed things up.
Support confirms whether the fault is covered and tells you how to return the device or arrange a swap. Delivery and on-site visits may be charged; the fees are listed in [SG] After-Sales Service Fees (Price List) and [MY] After-Sales Service Fees (Price List).
When the repaired or replacement device arrives, log in with your Qashier account. Your products, settings and sales history are stored in your Qashier account, not on the device. See How to Log in to Qashier POS.
Repairs and replacements outside the warranty
Accidental damage, and faults reported after the warranty period, are chargeable. Support will quote the repair or replacement price for your market before any work starts. If you are replacing an older terminal, it may be worth upgrading instead: see QashierX1 vs QashierX2: Key Differences and How to Upgrade.
Extended warranty
Malaysia: QashierCare. QashierCare is Qashier Malaysia's extended warranty and priority support programme for the QashierX2 and QashierXL. As of 25 Sep 2026 it costs MYR 299. It must be bought soon after you buy the terminal (within the first 3 months, according to the current Malaysia price list; check the exact window with support before you buy), and the terminal must have been bought new from Qashier. It gives you:
24 months of warranty cover in total, counted from delivery of the terminal, instead of the standard 12 months.
Accidental damage cover: up to 2 claims for drops, spills, cracked screens or damage to the housing. Qashier exchanges the device for a new or refurbished unit for a replacement fee (the fee table is in the QashierCare terms and conditions on the Qashier Malaysia website).
Unlimited claims for manufacturing defects, including exchange of faulty chargers and terminals.
Priority support by phone, email or live chat, with on-site troubleshooting when needed.
To sign up, complete the QashierCare form on the Qashier Malaysia website or ask support or your account manager. QashierCare cannot be cancelled or refunded once bought. To make a QashierCare claim, your Qashier POS subscription must still be active, and you need your QashierCare purchase form and proof of purchase.
Singapore, Philippines and Thailand. The terminal purchase terms let you buy an extended warranty within the first 30 days after purchase. It extends the warranty by 1 year for terminals and by 6 months for the Soundbox, cables and accessories. Ask support whether it is available for your device and for the current price.
If something goes wrong
Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
Device does not charge | Faulty adapter or cable | Test with the original adapter and cable. If the original adapter has a factory defect and the device is under warranty, the adapter is covered by the warranty. |
Screen cracked after a drop | Accidental damage | Not covered by the standard warranty. In Malaysia, claim under QashierCare if you have it. Otherwise support quotes a replacement. |
Device fails after the warranty period | Out of warranty | Repair or replacement is chargeable. Ask support for a quote. |
The business has changed owner | Warranty is not transferable | |
Soundbox is not working | Fault or connectivity | Check the network first, then contact support. The Soundbox warranty is 6 months. |
