The Qashier Soundbox shows your payment QR code and announces each successful QR payment out loud, so you can confirm payments in real time. This article shows Singapore and Malaysia merchants how to take a payment, void one, and check today's sales on the device.

Before you start
Connect the Soundbox to WiFi or 4G: How to connect Qashier Soundbox to WiFi or 4G (SIM card).
Enter its serial number and choose the announcement language in QashierHQ: [SG/MY] How to Configure Your Qashier Soundbox (Display Name, Serial Number, Language).
Using Qashier Soundbox
Static QR mode (default)
Work out the total. Use your Qashier POS if you have one, or work it out by hand. The Soundbox itself does not need an order.
Customer scans the QR code. Show the static QR code on the Soundbox screen. The customer scans it with their e-wallet or banking app.
Customer enters the amount. The customer types the total in their app and confirms the payment.
Payment confirmation. Once the payment is successful:
The Soundbox announces the amount received aloud.
The amount is shown on both the front and back display screens.
The approval screen stays for 3 seconds, then the Soundbox returns to the QR code.
GrabPay and Alipay+ dynamic QR (Singapore only)
With GrabPay and Alipay+ enabled on your Soundbox, you can accept payments from international e-wallets. Setup, supported wallets and payouts: [SG] Accept GrabPay & Alipay+ (international e-wallets) on Qashier Soundbox.
Key in the total amount on the Soundbox keypad. A dynamic QR code appears on the screen (valid for 5 minutes).
The customer scans the QR code with their e-wallet app and pays.
The Soundbox announces the amount and shows a confirmation message.
Voiding a Soundbox transaction
PayNow (SG) and DuitNow QR (MY) Soundbox transactions can be voided in QashierHQ only, under Money & Finance > Transactions. See How to Void a Transaction in QashierHQ.
GrabPay and Alipay+ Soundbox transactions cannot be voided in QashierHQ (no Void button is shown). Contact support to arrange a refund.
A voided QR transaction is not refunded automatically to the customer's account. Refund the customer directly, for example in cash or by bank transfer.
How to check today's sales on the Soundbox
You can view today's sales total and your last 5 transactions on the Soundbox:
On the back of the Soundbox, press F1.
Today's sales balance and the last 5 transactions appear on the front screen.
Press F1 or F2 to scroll down or up.
After 10 seconds without a key press, the Soundbox returns to your PayNow (SG) or DuitNow QR (MY) code.

If something goes wrong
Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
No sound when a payment comes in | Volume muted or too low, or a temporary glitch | Turn up the volume on the device. Power the Soundbox off and on again. |
Payment not detected or announced | Unstable internet connection | Check the network indicator and reconnect. See How to connect Qashier Soundbox to WiFi or 4G (SIM card). Once online, ask the customer to pay again if the first payment did not go through; check Transactions in QashierHQ first so you do not charge twice. |
Error shown on the Soundbox screen | Serial number missing or wrong in QashierHQ | Check the serial number under Settings > Devices > Soundbox Settings. See [SG/MY] How to Configure Your Qashier Soundbox (Display Name, Serial Number, Language). |
Announcement in the wrong language | Language not set for this Soundbox | Change Soundbox Language in Soundbox Settings and click Save. |
