Rotating promotions: show up to 5 images to highlight your latest promotions, products or announcements.
Easy to update: change the images in QashierHQ whenever you like.
More engaging checkout: turn an idle customer display into a simple advertising screen.
Before you start
Ask Qashier Support to turn on the carousel for your store. Until they do, Carousel does not appear in QashierHQ Settings. See Contact Qashier Support by Phone, WhatsApp, LINE or Viber (SG, MY, TH, PH).
Prepare your images so they meet these requirements:
File type: PNG or JPEG (.png, .jpg, .jpeg). GIFs and videos are not accepted.
File size: 1MB or less per image.
Exact size in pixels (width x height). Images of any other size are rejected, so resize them before you upload:
QashierXL: 1200 x 800
QashierX2: 800 x 480
QashierKiosk (store in self-ordering mode): 1080 x 1920 (portrait)
How to set up the carousel in QashierHQ
Log in to QashierHQ.
Click the Settings (gear) icon at the top right. On a phone, tap your account icon, then tap Settings.
Under Store, click Carousel.
Choose the store at the top of the page. Only stores that have the carousel turned on are listed.
Under Carousel interval time, choose how long each image shows: 5 seconds, 10 seconds or 15 seconds.
Click Add Image. An upload box appears showing the size your image must be, for example "Upload image (1200*800)".
Click the + icon in the upload box and choose your image file.
Click the Upload image icon (the upward arrow in the box's header) to upload it. The image then shows as Image 1, Image 2 and so on.
Repeat steps 6 to 8 for each extra image, up to 5. After the fifth image you see "Limit of 5 images reached".
To change the order, use the up and down arrows next to an image. To remove an image, click the bin icon, then click Delete to confirm. Image 1 has no bin icon, so to remove it, first move another image above it.
Click Save. You see "Carousel settings saved successfully".
In the screenshot above, the icon marked 8 is the Upload image icon, and 9 is Save.
What you should see
The carousel only shows when the customer display is idle. During a sale, the screen automatically switches to show the order items and payment options, so your customers see what they are paying for.
If something goes wrong
Symptom | Likely cause | What to do |
Carousel is missing from Settings, or your store is not in the store list | The carousel has not been turned on for that store | Ask Qashier Support to turn it on. |
"Image dimensions must be …" and the image is removed | The image is not exactly the required size | Resize the image to the exact size shown in the upload box, then try again. |
"File '…' is too large. Maximum size is 1MB" | The file is over 1MB | Compress the image or save it as a smaller JPEG, then try again. |
You can't choose your file | The file is not PNG or JPEG (for example a GIF) | Save the image as PNG or JPEG. |
Save is greyed out | There is no image yet, or an image box is still empty or not uploaded | Upload an image into every box (click the upward-arrow icon). If you added a box by mistake, reload the page to discard unsaved changes, then add your images again. |
The customer display still shows the old images | The terminal has not loaded the new settings yet | Go back to the Qashier POS home screen. If the images still don't change, restart the Qashier POS app. |
The carousel never appears on the customer display | A sale is in progress, so the screen shows the order instead | Finish or clear the current sale. The carousel shows when the screen is idle. |
