If a merchant voids a QR Ph transaction, will the payment be automatically refunded to the customer’s e-wallet?

No, QR Ph transactions do not support automatic refunds. If a customer requests a refund after paying via QR Ph:

  • The merchant must refund the amount in cash or through their own e-wallet.

  • The void in Qashier POS is only to cancel the transaction for record-keeping — it does not trigger a refund to the customer.

  • The merchant will still receive the full transaction amount (before MDR fees) in their payout.

📌 Example: Customer pays ₱100 via QR Ph. Merchant voids the transaction and refunds ₱100 in cash. Qashier still pays out ₱100 to the merchant (less MDR fee).

Note: The merchant will still be charged MDR even if the transaction is voided.
