Troubleshooting Sticker Printer

Updated over a month ago

This guide provides two methods to reset a sticker printer to its factory default settings: Soft Reset and Software Reset.

📌 Note: The soft reset is meant to "refresh" the printer and will not remove any setting made to the sticker printer.

Soft Reset

Follow these steps to soft reset the Sticker printer:

  1. Start by switching OFF the sticker printer.

  2. Find the feed button located on the front of the sticker printer.

Hold down the feed button and keep it pressed for steps 3 & 4:

3. Turn ON the Sticker Printer (while still holding the feed button down), you will see a red light

4. (continue holding down the feed button) Observe the red light goes off, and the blue light lights up with a beep sound

5. Release the feed button when you hear the beep sound and see the blue light.

6. Wait a few seconds, and a configuration chit will be printed, showing the printer's factory default settings. This confirms that the reset was successful.

Reset using Software

📌 Note: This method can be used if the soft reset procedure doesn't work.

A Windows PC is required to perform this reset with the following software installed: Printer Utility

1. Ensure Windows PC is installed with the printer utility application

2. Connect the printer with the USB cable provided (USB Type A to USB Type B cable)

3. Run the printer utility application and run it as an administrator

4. After opening up the program and connecting the printer to the Windows PC, click on the “load printer” button to load up the printer’s settings.

5. You will then see the printer’s information being loaded up. 6. On the right part of the program, select the “Printer Function” tab and click on the “Factory Default” button. The printer will beep and the blue light will flicker indicating that it’s being reset.

7. Click on Printer Configuration>Select Wifi Setup, and click on Load. Check if the previous Wifi network is reflecting.

8. Click Wifi Setting Default and wait for it to complete.

9. Click Load and check if the AP Name has now been set to “LabelPrn_AP” and the IP Address has been set to 10.10.100.254.

10. Click on Exit. Unplug the printer from the Windows PC, and the sticker/label printer will be ready to be configured & used again.
