How Qashier Protects Your Data (PCI DSS, PDPA & Privacy)

Qashier protects your business data and your customers' payment data with security controls designed to prevent unauthorised access, loss or misuse. This article explains the main safeguards and what you can do to keep your own account secure.

Card payment security (PCI DSS)

Qashier is certified as a PCI DSS Level 1 Service Provider. PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is the card industry's security standard for companies that store, process or transmit card data, and Level 1 is its highest validation level. Qashier is regularly assessed for PCI DSS compliance by an independent Qualified Security Assessor authorised by the PCI Security Standards Council.

Card numbers and other sensitive data are encrypted, and are stored and processed in an environment kept separate from the rest of Qashier's systems, such as our websites and APIs.

How we protect your data

Qashier's solutions are built on the principle of security by design. We run an Information Security Management System with comprehensive security controls that follow security-management best practice, and we keep reviewing and improving these controls.

These controls are designed to protect your data and your customers' data from unauthorised access, loss or misuse.

Privacy laws we comply with

Qashier adheres to the personal data protection laws of the markets it operates in, including:

  • Singapore – Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)

  • Malaysia – Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)

  • Thailand – Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)

  • Philippines – Data Privacy Act

How you can keep your account secure

  1. Use a strong, unique password for QashierHQ, and do not reuse a password from another service. See How to Reset or Change Your Qashier Password.

  2. Never share your login details or verification codes with anyone.

  3. Give each staff member their own login or PIN, with only the access they need, in QashierHQ under Staff Management. See How to Add, Edit or Delete Staff in QashierHQ and How to Restrict Void/Refund on Qashier POS to Selected Staff.

  4. Keep your Manager PIN private and change it if you think someone else knows it. See How to Change the Manager PIN in QashierHQ.

  5. If you think your account has been compromised, change your password straight away and contact Qashier support. See Contact Qashier Support by Phone, WhatsApp, LINE or Viber (SG, MY, TH, PH).
