The Terminal PIN is the store-wide PIN that Qashier POS asks for before managers can open settings and other protected functions. You can view it or change it at any time in QashierHQ.
Applies to
Markets: All markets.
Product: QashierHQ (web). The PIN is used on Qashier POS.
Access: your QashierHQ login needs access to Settings.
When the POS asks for the Terminal PIN
The Terminal PIN is usually kept by managers. When a Terminal PIN is set, Qashier POS asks for it before staff can:
open Manage Products
open Settings
open Manage Staff
open Manage Promotions
Switch Store
log out of the POS
Some other actions ask for it only when you turn on the related setting, for example custom discounts (see How to Require a Terminal PIN for Custom Discounts in Qashier POS). To void a sale, staff first enter their own staff PIN; the POS then asks for the Terminal PIN too, unless you use staff access control (see How to Restrict Void/Refund on Qashier POS to Selected Staff).
