Combo refers to a set of items that is grouped together, which is usually sold at a cheaper rate than if the items were to be bought on their own.
Eg: A combo meal sold by Macdonalds consisting of Mcspicy, french fries and coke zero.
Examples of Use Cases
Bundling of food and drinks together to form a set meal.
Eg: Chicken Burger + fries + coke
Selection of ice cream flavours
Eg: 1st scoop: Chocolate, 2nd scoop: Mint
Want to assign one staff to each product for ease of commission calculation
Eg: Hair Salon - Cut + Wash
Eg: Sports Store - Badminton Racquet + String + Grip
An additional price can be set for each product listed in the combo, for items that warrants a premium. Eg: Mains set: $10 . Beef Steak has an additional price of +$2.00
Combos are essentially borrowing existing products from other categories.
As such, product name, price, cost, points, modifiers, printer selection, order chit, KDS etc for products in combos will still follow what is being set on a product level
Deduction of stock in Inventory Management for combos is still via the current existing product.
