Create many products at once, or edit many existing products in one table, from the Bulk Action menu on the QashierHQ Product Management page.

Before you start

Create at least one Tab and one Category first. Product Bulk Create needs them and shows "Please create tab and category first." until they exist. See How to Create Tabs, Categories and Products in QashierHQ.
If Chain Shop Management is enabled for your account, products are shared across all your stores, so a bulk change applies to every store.

Open the Bulk Action menu

Go to QashierHQ.
In the left sidebar, under Products & Inventory, click Product Management.
Select your store in the Store picker.
Click Bulk Action. You will see four options.

Product Bulk Create: type new products into a table on screen. Best for small batches. Covered below.
Product Bulk Update: edit many existing products in one table. Covered below.
Create Products from Excel: upload many new products from an Excel template. See How to Create Products in Bulk from an Excel Template in QashierHQ.
Update Product Price via Excel: change the prices of existing products from an Excel file. See How to Update Product Prices in Bulk via Excel in QashierHQ.

Use this to create several products in one go instead of adding them one by one.

Click Bulk Action > Product Bulk Create.
If you saved a draft earlier, QashierHQ asks "Do you want to continue editing your previous draft?". Choose whether to continue the draft or start again.
On each row, choose the Tab, then the Category.
Enter the Product Name and Price. Fill in any optional columns you need, such as Order Chit Product Name, Cost, Barcode, SKU, Open Price or Track Inventory. Extra columns, for example Tax Rate, appear only when those features are switched on for your store.
To add more products under the same tab and category, click Duplicate and enter the number of copies you want.
To add a product under a different tab or category, click Add Item at the bottom of the table.
Not finished? Click Save Draft and come back later.
Click Confirm to create the products.

Rules for every row

Tab, Category, Product Name and Price are required. Confirm stays greyed out until every row has them.
Barcodes must be unique, both within the table and against your existing products.
You can create up to 500 products in one go.

Use this to change several existing products at once instead of opening each one.

Click Bulk Action > Product Bulk Update.
The table shows Product, Order Chit Name, Category, Price, SKU and Barcode. To edit other fields, such as Cost or Track Inventory, use Select Field to add those columns.
Click a cell to edit it, change the value, then click Set.
Repeat for the other products you want to change.
Click Confirm. Wait for the message "Product(s) updated successfully".

Note: if you remove a column from the table, any unsaved edits in that column are discarded. QashierHQ warns you before it removes the column.
