Beverage Container Return Scheme (BCRS) — Singapore

Complete guide to setting up and managing Singapore's BCRS $0.10 deposit across Qashier HQ, POS, QashierEats, receipts, and reports.

Beverage Container Return Scheme (BCRS) — Singapore

Singapore's Beverage Container Return Scheme (BCRS) officially launched on 1 April 2026, mandating a $0.10 refundable deposit on all pre-packaged beverages in plastic and metal containers (150 ml – 3L) bearing the BCRS Deposit Mark. Qashier has been updated to handle BCRS deposits automatically across HQ, POS, QashierEats, receipts, and reports.

Important: BCRS deposit is not subject to GST

The $0.10 deposit is collected on behalf of the scheme operator and is not subject to GST (9%). It appears as a separate line item on all receipts and reports, labelled BCRS Deposit (Not Subject to GST).
